Watercoloring and Mother's Day

Hi!  I hope this finds you well.  Here's what I've been up to.

She's a little blurry because I took the picture with my phone, but I watercolored this today - my first real attempt - and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the way she turned out.  The problem is I don't know what to do with her.  I've tried several card fronts to put her on, and I'm not liking anything right now.  I'm sure it will come to me.

I used watercolor paper from Michael's, stamped the image in Staz-On black, and used a combination of blender pen and aqua painter to color.  I used tangerine tango, barely banana, perfect plum, wild wasabi, brocade blue and creamy caramel.  The blender pen was mostly used to create shadow lines.  I'll definitely try this again!

And this is the card I made for my mother for Mother's Day.  The layout is cased from SCS, but I have no idea from whom.  If you know, let me know, and I'll give credit where it is due.  The card stock and DSP are brocade blue, the flower image is Echoes of Kindess, and the words are from Well Scripted.  The flowers are colored with blender pen in brocade blue and certainly celery.  On the inside, I used words from the Messages for Mom set.

I have more cards to show you, but I'll save some for another day.

Have a great weekend!

BTW, welcome jillwag.  I'm glad you are enjoying our fledgling blog!
